Barbara J. Morrison, wife of the late Robert G. Morrison passed away on Monday April 17, 2017 at MidState Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

Born on March 28, 1932 in Lee, MA, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice Bossidy. Barbara married Robert in 1953 and moved to Meriden where they resided and raised their family. In her early years she worked at the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, MA, a job Barbara truly enjoyed. Later she worked as a waitress at the South Meriden House while raising her children. Upon her children growing up Barbara was employed as a division clerk at Meriden Wallingford Hospital from where she retired.

Mrs. Morrison is survived by her son: Jon (Lucy) Morrison; four daughters including two sets of twins: Kim (Mario) Kremzar, Ann (Paul) Fournier, Karen (Paul) Ruffoni, Lynn Price; two grandsons: Christopher (Ying) Morrison, Jason (Sharon) Morrison; her great grandchildren Jason and Kaitlyn Morrison, a sister Elizabeth Bell and relatives in Canada and Massachusetts. She was predeceased by two brothers: James and John (Jack) Bossidy and her son-in-law Gregory Price.

The family would like to thank the staff at MidState Medical Center for the excellent care given to their Mom during her final days.
