Asselah Mohammed, born Priscilla C. Jones departed this life on Thursday, December 28, 2023.    She was 41 years old. She was born on November 2, 1982, in New Haven, CT to Imani "Valerie" Mohammed-Denny "Jones" and David Gravely.

She attended the Co-op High School located in New Haven, CT.

Scilla, as she was nicknamed, was known to take long walks and was self-reliable, who could remember phone numbers effortlessly. She always had a smile on her face through the good and bad and loved to make others laugh.

She leaves behind her mother Imani "Valerie" Mohammed-Denny "Jones," stepfather Randy Denny and father, David Gravely. Along with her 5 youngest siblings whom she helped raise, brothers: Christopher Jones of Wallingford, CT; Marquis (Keosha) Jones of Meriden, CT; Andrew Jones of Meriden, CT; Larry "L.A" Daniels Jr. and sister, Larray Daniels both of Jacksonville, NC.

Additionally, she leaves behind a total of 19 nieces and nephews, as well as her aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ms. Mohammed was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Leila "Nanna" Jones-Brown, maternal grandfather, Robert Jones, paternal grandmother, Mrs. Raglan, and stepmother, Mildred Gravely.

Scilla was beloved dearly and will forever be remembered by her bright presence.
