Angeline (Carino) Zaorski, 96, loving wife for nearly 72 years of the late Joseph S. Zaorski, Sr., peacefully entered eternal life, Thursday, January 25, 2024 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden, surrounded by her loving family.
Angeline was born in Meriden, August 20, 1927, a daughter of the late Samuel Carino and Rose (Mule) Carino. Angeline was a lifelong parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, where she spent many hours volunteering and serving lunch at the school. She also dedicated her time as a Eucharistic Minister at MidState Medical Center, and was a member of the Women's Society and Red Hat Society. Angeline and her husband Joseph loved to ballroom dance together, especially to their favorite song "Spanish Eyes". Angeline will be greatly missed by her family and will be remembered for her laugh and her delicious Italian cookies.
She is survived by her two daughters Sharon (Stanley) Gonska and Elise Zaorski; and her daughter-in-law Louise. She is also survived by her five cherished grandchildren Heather (David) Bruce, Kari (Edward) Gilberti, Kristi Gonska, Brent (Maegen) Gonska, Alyssa (Nick) Tumolo; 6 great grandchildren Tyler, Madison, Emma, Grayson, Amelia, Cameron; and her cousin Barbara Mule. She was predeceased by two sons Marcel and Joseph Jr. and her 5 siblings Joe, Frank and Tony Carino, Theresa Caron and Rita Shefcyk.
Angeline's family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Friday, February 2, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., when the funeral procession will proceed to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish) in Meriden, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
