Andrew Theodore (Andy) Yousko, a resident of the Connecticut Baptist Home, went to join his beloved Cora (Perry) Yousko with their Lord on Friday April 10, 2015. Born on June 20, 1925 in Manhattan, NY he was the son of the late Andrew and Hildegard (Micka) Yousko. Andy graduated from the Eastern Baptist Seminary in Philadelphia where he obtained his degree as Bachelor of Divinity. Thereafter he became the minister at Woolford Memorial Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD. He also served as minister at the 2nd Baptist Church in East Providence, RI; the Main Street Baptist Church in Meriden and Stepney Baptist Church in Monroe, CT. From 1954 until 1964 Andy and Cora spent ten wonderful years serving as missionaries in Thailand. He had many interesting stories to tell of their years spent in that land. Upon returning to the US he became Chaplain at Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown, serving for 15 years. Andy leaves behind his son David A. Yousko of Everett, WA; his daughter Lou Ann Lukasiewicz of Lake Mary, FL; three grandchildren: Jennifer Robertson, Karen Milks, Scott Wilhelm; two great grandchildren: Kaley and Shelby Roberson; a brother-in-law Stan Perry of South Windsor and his special friend Paul Beavers of Woodbury, CT. He was predeceased by his sister Caroline. Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday May 4, 2015 at the CT Baptist Home, 292, Thorpe Ave., Meriden at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
