Alice L. (Ihrke) Ward, 87, of Meriden, passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 27, 2024 at the Bradley Home in Meriden. She was the loving wife of the late Richard C. Ward.

Alice was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, March 9, 1937, a daughter of the late Walter Ihrke and Virginia (Schaffer) Ihrke and had been a Meriden resident. She was employed as an office manager for many years.

She is survived by four children Cynthia Stratton Szymaszek, Steven Clay Stratton, David Paul Stratton, and Richard Charles Ward Jr., 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Mark Curtis Stratton and son-in-law David Paul Szymaszek, and her two sisters Jean Kozy and Janet King.

Funeral services are private. Inurnment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Meriden.
