Alfred A. Ziel, 82, a loving brother, uncle, great uncle, cousin and friend entered into eternal rest, Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford.

Alfred was born in Middletown, January 12, 1939, the son of the late Adolph Ziel and Stephanie Rembis.  Alfred was employed by General Motors for 35 years until his retirement and thoroughly enjoyed his career there. He was a parishioner of St. Paul Church in Berlin.

He is survived by his loving sister Ruth Z. Coyle of North Haven; his nephew Brian Coyle and his wife Margaret "Midge"; his grand niece Amanda Coyle; several cousins and their extended families.  He was especially close to his cousin Robert, Robert's children; and grandchildren and was happiest surrounded by family.

Alfred's family will receive relatives and friends at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden, Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the funeral procession will leave for an 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul Church, 461 Alling St, Berlin, CT 06037.  Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Meriden.  For online condolences or directions visit: www.meridenmemorialfh.com
