Albina (Beansie) H. Loiko, 90, beloved wife of the late Bowlelslew (Bill) Loiko died Saturday morning September 19, 2015 at the Curtis Home. Born on January 15, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Adela (Weronick) Awdziewicz. Beansie was a lifelong resident of Meriden, she attended local schools, was a graduate of Meriden High School and parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. Beansie was an avid bowler and golfer for over 30 years. She enjoyed cooking weekly meals for her family and friends and especially playing bingo. Albina is survived by a son William J. Loiko (Sue) of Sarasota, Fl, her daughter Carol Loiko of East Haddam, CT; two grandchildren: Josh Loiko (Junie) of Los Angeles, CA and Katie Williams and partner Sean; two great grandchildren: Hadley and Jace Williams; a caring brother Jules Awdziewicz (Helen) of Meriden; a special niece Kimberly Martin of Wallingford who deserves special thanks for her devoted care given to Beansie and a unique nephew Matthew Ross whom Albina treated like a son. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday September 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Stanislaus Church, Olive and Pleasant Streets, Meriden. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
