Agnes G. Grodzicki, 101, beloved wife of the late Theodore Grodzicki, passed away peacefully on Friday March 23, 2018 at the CT Baptist Home.
Born on October 12, 1916 in Middletown, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Rose (Kruczkowicz) Golen. A longtime resident of Meriden, Agnes was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church, member of the Sunshine Club and worked as a press operator at New Departure from where she retired after 32 years of service. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and especially dancing.
Mrs. Grodzicki is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Kolevich and her husband Alexander of Southington; two sons: Theodore Grodzicki and his wife Suzan of NJ, Anthony Grodzicki and his wife Marisa of Meriden; a son-in-law Gordon Lovely; twelve grandchildren: Kathleen Bunko and her husband Gary of Southington, Christine Richter of Southington, Karen Ljucovic and her husband Kristo of NY, Laurie Vereneau and her husband Greg of Newington, Stephen Grodzicki and his wife Denise of Durham, Angela Dorris of Meriden, Daniel Grodzicki and Farrah of Meriden, Shawn Grodzicki and his wife Jenna of Burlington, John Grodzicki and his wife Melanie of NJ, Michael Grodzicki of NJ, Brian Grodzicki and his wife Deidre of NJ, John Lovely and his wife Laurie of AZ; nineteen great grandchildren: Nicholas and Nathan Richter, Christopher and Kyle Bunko, Kristo, Karolina, Sophia and Audrey L j ucovic, Alyssa and Jason Vereneau, Kayley, Kevin and Julia Grodzicki, Madison Grodzicki, Tessa and Tanner Grodzicki, Zachary and Tyler Grodzicki, Charlie Grodzicki and one great great grandson Kai Richter. She was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Lovely.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday March 28th at 9:30 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday morning March 28th from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home.
